Rubi Rose Benton was born the 2nd of October, 1997 in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was also raised, by Nardos Ghebrelul her mother, who is who is an Eritrean dentist from the country of immigrants who was born in Ethiopia, and John Benton, her father, who is an attorney of Japanese, African American and European descent. Her father was an adoptive child. There is an older sister named Scarlette and a younger sister named Coral. 2] She was baptised as an Orthodox Christian as a child. Brookwood High School was her high school in Snellville. She ran track. She also studied politics at Georgia State University. She grew up listening and singing to Biggie, Marvin Gaye, Chaka Khan, Prince, Michael Jackson, Biggie, Biggie, and Biggie.
